The Superintendent's Report
Superintendent Gregg Haulk gave his report. The book Teach Like a Champion by Doug Lemov is big on the administration's list for teachers to read. I have my copy, but have yet to crack it open. Once I find time to read it, I will comment on what I think. Meanwhile I am reading Hamlet, which I consider the 50th technique that believes it is necessary for students to be able to read and discuss Shakespeare.
I am looking forward to seeing the "new California truancy law" in action. I agree that students out of the classroom is a lose, lose situation for everyone – particularly the student.
